July 5th, 2019 - YourSocialHub 2 Year Anniversary
2 years ago today, I opened this Discord Server as a place for my small Minecraft livestream viewers to hang out, have fun, make new friends, get to know me, and join me on my live streams. That quickly changed when I stopped live streaming. Within a couple of weeks, the server had started to fade away. With no one joining or typing in the server I had thought that it was time to close it even though it had only been open for 3 months. But, after some people who genuinely loved the server even though it had near 0 activity and had no one typing in it told me how they would like me to keep it open, I kept it open. Christmas night 2017, that was the night this server had gone from a dead wasteland to have suddenly started growing out of nowhere. A couple of people joined that night who brought more and more of their friends. Ever since that day, this server has continued to grow. We may not have hundreds of thousands of members, we may not have the most active channels, and we definitely did not go through times without problems or struggles. Many problems have come up within the span of these two years, many personal, much widespread, sometimes regarding safety and such but, we've managed to push through it all together as a community. I am looking forward to many more years of this server and other platforms we have expanded onto over the years. I don't need us to gain hundreds of thousands of members, though it would be nice. I need us to continue being who've been together, a community and loving and caring friends who've grown into a family and have been there for each other. Here's for many more years of YourSocialHub. June 17th, 2019 - YourSocialNoobs Official Launch
Somewhere around early 2018 we announced our plans to open a new YouTube channel named YourSocialNoobs, originally intended to be a very high quality content community gaming channel with video quality over quantity it never took off as we were struggling with staff members coming and going, inactivity, and just a lack of resources to be able to run a Discord server and any of our YouTube channels at the time. But, now as of 2019 we have been able to do a lot more work especially as it is now summer (at least in North America) and most of our staff are now on their Vacation (excluding a large portion that is based in Australia) we can now start up most of our projects that we announced more than a year ago and seriously intended to cancel. Although we have just launched YourSocialNoobs, it is not launching with the same content that we had planned before. Rather than an ultra high-quality content YouTube channel that would take weeks to edit videos let alone render them and have them pass a quality inspection. It is now going to be a community YouTube channel for the staff members and the community of YourSocialHub (Discord Server).
