It started with a livestream and a simple way to join a game. What kept it alive was the people who stayed, built friendships, and made it something bigger than any stream ever could.
YourSocialHub is a community-driven technology collective dedicated to bringing people together through gaming, digital platforms, and creative media. Operating under Tasty Media Group, LLC in Florida, United States, the project has evolved significantly since its origins in 2012. It began as “GamerzDude” (and other variations of the name), originally operating as a website promoting free PC games that many users may not have otherwise discovered. During this early era, a Skype community grew to over 600 members, hosting 24/7 calls, organizing community events, and launching small Minecraft servers featuring custom game modes and experimental gameplay concepts.
Between 2015 and 2017, the community expanded into the competitive Call of Duty trickshotting scene. Several groups were formed and operated through Skype and Twitter, including Evo, Synz, Dysfunctional (amateur), MooN Clan, and later MooN NatioN. These groups focused on recruitment, competitive play, content creation, and building online presence during the height of the trickshotting era. Around this same period, an experimental content initiative known as CandyCane Productions was launched with the goal of producing entertaining Minecraft video series. Although the project showed early promise, it was eventually discontinued as focus shifted toward broader infrastructure and community development.
Between 2015 and 2016, several large-scale Minecraft survival projects were launched, including the “Billionaire” custom survival world series (Billionaire 1, 2, and 3), which featured player-built cities, structured economies, custom mini-games, and progression systems. This era also included early Minecraft networks and servers such as GamerzDude4Life Network, HypeMC, EnderIsles, and other experimental multiplayer environments that helped shape the foundation of the community’s identity.
In 2016, the community transitioned from Skype to Discord as communication platforms evolved. In 2017, following the successful launch of TastyGuava’s personal Discord server—originally created to allow livestream viewers to play together during the summer—YourSocialHub was officially relaunched under its current name. During this period, the community expanded across multiple platforms including Guilded and Curse Voice (later known as the Twitch Desktop App/Twitch Voice). Between 2017 and 2019, large-scale online movie nights were hosted through Rabb.it, sometimes drawing over 300 concurrent viewers before the platform shut down in 2019. This era was marked by experimentation and rapid iteration, with leadership frequently testing new ideas to refine long-term direction.
In early 2018, several experimental initiatives were launched, including a 7 Deadly Sins–themed Discord server and a server titled Project Anti-Pedo, created to organize research and reporting efforts targeting online perpetrators after one of the community members became a victim. Around the same time, an 18+ Discord server known as “YourSocialLewd” was briefly created but later shut down after leadership determined it conflicted with the organization’s ethical standards. These projects reflected a formative period that ultimately clarified the principles and boundaries the brand would uphold moving forward.
Also in 2018, YourSocialHub expanded by launching both a Battle.net Community and a Steam Chat Community to connect members directly within the platforms they were gaming on. Steam’s community chat features were phased out by Valve in 2019 as it transitioned to its redesigned Friends & Chat system, and Blizzard discontinued Battle.net Communities in 2023. Following these changes, efforts were consolidated primarily into Discord.
From 2018 through 2025, YourSocialHub consistently hosted and maintained a wide range of multiplayer game servers across various titles, including Terraria, Left 4 Dead 2, Teeworlds, and numerous Minecraft minigame and survival multiplayer servers. Notable Minecraft projects included YourSocialCraft (Seasons 1 and 2), YourSocialHub SMP, and ForeverCraft, which remains active as a permanent, pure-vanilla Minecraft Java Edition survival multiplayer experience. The community also launched PixelCraft on Hypixel SMP following its official release in April 2020. In 2026, a Hytale server was launched on release day, reflecting continued commitment to emerging sandbox platforms, though the Hytale project is currently on hiatus. Large-scale Hypixel Network “/pall parties” were also organized during this era, bringing together substantial groups of players for shared in-game experiences.
Beyond gaming, 2018 saw the launch of a Discord bot originally known as “Your+Social+Hub Bot,” later rebranded as Duck-Bot. At its peak, Duck-Bot operated in over 3,000 Discord servers and reached more than 100,000 users, with development cycling on and off through 2022 as team availability shifted. A dedicated forums site was launched between 2018 and 2019 to support structured discussions beyond chat platforms. From 2020 through 2024, official merchandise was released in collaboration with community designers, generating modest sales and strengthening brand identity.
In 2019, the organization expanded into music experimentation, releasing original tracks that remain available on YouTube and Spotify. Podcast initiatives and additional creative media experiments were also launched during this period, reflecting a broader ambition beyond gaming communities. These projects marked the beginning of a transition from a community-focused gaming brand into a wider creative media ecosystem.
Around 2023, Tasty Media Group, LLC was formally launched as the umbrella entity supporting YourSocialHub and future ventures. While still in early-stage development, Tasty Media Group is intended to serve as a long-term media company focused on technology, gaming, music, clothing, podcasts, and creative digital projects. Numerous initiatives remain in the pipeline.
Today, YourSocialHub is entering a new era defined by intentional focus and long-term strategy. Rather than pursuing numerous short-term experimental projects, the organization is consolidating its efforts around a select group of sustainable platforms. The primary hub remains the YourSocialHub Discord server, alongside a Steam chat presence, with upcoming expansion plans including a Revolt server—an open-source alternative to Discord—and a dedicated TeamSpeak server. As the founding members have grown older and taken on careers, education, and adult responsibilities, development pace has adjusted accordingly. The current strategy emphasizes longevity, stability, and deliberate growth. The long-term mission remains unchanged: to bring communities together through technology, creativity, and shared digital spaces, while building for the long game rather than short-term momentum.
