Staff Code of Conduct

1. Purpose

This Staff Code of Conduct defines the standards and expectations for all individuals serving in a leadership or moderation capacity within:

• YourSocialHub Discord

• ForeverCraft (Minecraft Java Edition server)

• PixelCraft (Hypixel SMP community project)

• Steam Chat

• Any affiliated YourSocialHub platform

Staff positions include:

• Owner

• Administrator

• Moderator

Staff members are entrusted with maintaining the integrity, safety, and long-term stability of the community.

2. Leadership Responsibility

Staff members are expected to:

• Enforce rules consistently and fairly

• Act in the best interest of the community

• Maintain professionalism in public and private communications

• Lead by example in behavior and conduct

• De-escalate conflict rather than inflame it

Staff authority is a responsibility, not a privilege.

3. Integrity and Impartiality

Staff members must:

• Avoid favoritism

• Avoid conflicts of interest

• Refrain from using their position for personal gain

• Avoid bias in disputes or disciplinary actions

All moderation decisions should be based on documented rules and observable behavior.

4. Proper Use of Permissions

Staff members must not:

• Abuse moderation tools

• Issue punishments without cause

• Modify permissions irresponsibly

• Grant roles or privileges without authorization

• Use administrative powers for entertainment or retaliation

All actions taken with elevated permissions must serve a legitimate community purpose.

5. Professional Conduct

Staff members must:

• Communicate respectfully

• Avoid harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior

• Maintain appropriate boundaries with members

• Avoid engaging in arguments or hostile exchanges

Public disputes between staff undermine community trust and should be handled privately.

6. Confidentiality

Staff members may have access to sensitive information, including:

• Reports

• Appeals

• Internal discussions

• Technical infrastructure

This information must not be disclosed outside authorized channels.

Leaking internal discussions or private reports may result in removal from staff.

7. Accountability

Staff members are subject to review and oversight.

Violations of this Code may result in:

• Internal review

• Removal of permissions

• Demotion

• Removal from the staff team

Severe violations may result in permanent removal.

Owners retain final authority on staff decisions.

8. Platform Compliance

Staff members must comply with the rules and terms of:

• Discord

• Mojang / Minecraft

• Hypixel

• Steam

Violations on third-party platforms may impact eligibility to serve as staff.

9. Inactivity

Staff members are expected to remain reasonably active and communicative.

Extended unexplained inactivity may result in removal of staff privileges.

10. Commitment to Long-Term Stability

YourSocialHub prioritizes:

• Stability over hype

• Integrity over favoritism

• Consistency over impulsive decisions

• Long-term trust over short-term popularity

Staff members are expected to align with this philosophy.

11. Final Authority

Owners reserve the right to interpret, enforce, and update this Code of Conduct at their discretion.

Serving as staff is a position of trust and may be revoked at any time.
